For the first time in eight years you’re free.
This is what happens next.”
I Wasn’t to sure that i would like this book as i love my Romances and hardly ever move from that genre. So when i saw this in the shop i didn’t know whether to buy it or not. Well, obviously i did. I think it was the Cover that did it for me, its so beautiful. As soon as i got home i dived right into it.
“I wanna go home. Daddy Rick’s going to be mad if we’re not there.”
The book starts of with Lily escaping the Cabin that shes been locked anyway in for the past eight years. Her capture stupidly left without putting the deadlock n place and Lily knew it was her only chance to make a run for it.
She then runs to the house she used to live in hoping that her parents still lives there, after banging on the door her Mother finally answers and is shocked to see that her missing Daughter of eight years is at her front door with a little girl clinging to her.
This book is crazy! So much was happening from the first page, Hollie Overton just thrown you into the deep end. You get to see multiple sides of the story which was amazing. You go to see what was going through everyone’s head when they found out that Lily was home and also when she was taken all those years ago.
I absolutely loved seeing Ricks point of view, see how and why he doesn’t it was a amazing. I loved this book a lot more than what i though i would. Call me fucked up but reading how Rick kidnapped Lily and how he kept it a secret for so long (Eight long ass years) was incredible. The best parts of the book were differently his point of view.
Even though he was obviously gone in the head, he truly cared and loved Lily, his Daughter too. He was broken when he found out that they were gone. Then he just went loco, next level fucked up. Bat-shit crazy.
“I know that I’ve been labelled a monster. I do not think that’s true. I think.. I think i am a sick man.”
But yeah, so its jam packed with drama. So much drama. I didn’t know what was going to happen and when i did it shocked the shit out of me. Like whoa, what was even going on half the time. With Eve, Wes, Abby, Lily and Rick, everyone of them had crazy shit going on in there lives.
It was a crazy roller coaster ride, a crazy, awesome, mental one. But that ending! Like what..?! After everything it ended like that? What a ball-ache.
