Description…

‘I’ve been told I have quite a gift.

Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing….

Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard…place.

Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.

I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.

Spoiler–neither one of us sleeps.

Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker? Guess that makes her the full package too.

What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?’

Meh.

The cover, the description, sooo good. It sounded so good and i couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and buy it. I was even counting down the days for it to be live and for me to snatch it up. I was so excited when i bought it, that i started it straight away.

Chase and Josie has been friends for years, as he is best friends with her older brother. So when Josie needs a roommate and Chase loses his place, they decide that Chase should move in with her. That they are such good friend, that it would be perfect.

I wanted to love this book, i really did. It had everything that i love in a book but i just couldn’t get into it. For me it was well, boring. I kept having to put my kindle down. Which i literally hate doing. I just couldn’t sink into it, i have to get completely lost in the book to really read it, that’s what makes me love it. It’s so disappointing when i can’t do that.

It was funny at times and some bits i really did enjoy, i love how slow it took for them to get together, most books are ‘wham bang, thank you mam’ so it was nice to see the build up, and for then not to just jump into bed with each other.

“Of course i want to know what floats Josie’s boat on the diddle couch.”

Even though i hate it when they do, it did pick up the pace once they were together and it flowed easier, but it still wasn’t captivating. It didn’t capture my full attention, like a good book needs too.

The reason i give 3 Stars instead of 2 is, Wyatt. Josie’s brother, Chase’s best friend. He was so accepting and grown-up about them being together, he in fact was waiting for it to happen. This made the book for me. So Wyatt, High-five too you, my friend.

“Dude, everyone knows that. The question now is: Are you finally going to do something about it?”
