Description.

‘Two years ago, the medical world was shaken by scandal, and Payton Daniels’s family was at the centre of it. The second she graduated, Payton left everything behind?her high school sweetheart, her family, and the controversy surrounding her mother’s death—and hid within the anonymity of college. But Payton’s ex, Blake Hiller, hasn’t forgiven her for leaving, and when he enrols in the same medical ethics class, she panics. She can’t run the risk of him telling everyone who she really is.

As if being at the same university isn’t enough, both Blake and Payton land the same internship. Forced together, their passion for each other reignites, but when Payton is asked to testify in her father’s high-profile trial, she must choose between risking her acceptance into medical school to help her father, and losing every connection to her past—including the only guy she’s ever loved.’

This is a second chance romance novel, which i don’t normally go for. I don’t know why but i just don’t like second chance books, i think I’ve read to many bad ones that have put me off of it. The only reasons i bought it were, my friend picked it out for us to read and i kinda digged the description. So i thought id give it a go.

I actually really liked this book, in fact i loved it. Some bits did have me rolling my eyes and talking to myself like ‘Idiot’ Because Jesus Christ on a cracker, some bits were so childish and petty. It also had its ups and downs, some bits were brilliant, some not so much.

So we have Blake, oh how i loved Blake. He and Payton were together a while back and were madly in love until Payton just up and disappeared one day when he was on holiday. I found Payton really childish and immature, i get that shes been through a lot, stuff that no child should go through at such a young age. But she uses that at every chance she gets with Blake, but yet hides it from everyone else. Not wanting people to know who she is.

“Your arms are shacking worse than a fat girls ass on the treadmill. Now c’mon bro, give me one more.”

Andrew was such a ass-hole. I got a bad vibe form him at the very start. I did not like him at all, and as the book continued he got worse and worse. He was not a nice person at all, and just because he Dad was the Professor and a Dr he thought the sun shined out this ass. The only good thing about him was that he was funny at times.

“That was pretty ballsy, bitch.”

Overall, it was a really good read, the characters were well written and you were able to connect with them and sink into the book. I loved how it explained why Payton’s Dad done what he did, I didn’t agree with they way everyone was so horrible about him. I fell like if i was in the same situation i would have done the same.

“I have always loved you. I don’t think i could stop if i tried.”

Blake.. Blake.. Blake.. you are the main reason i give this book 5 stars, so high-five to you. Hopefully i see you in the next book.

Ah man.
